​DSA Art Portfolio Building Programme (Ages 10–12 | Primary 5–6)

Building artistic foundations for SOTA and DSA Art success.

A structured, year-long course designed to help students develop a high-quality portfolio for entry into Singapore’s leading art pathways — including DSA Art, Visual Arts Elective Programme, and SOTA.

Course Overview:

  • Focus Areas: Technical drawing, creative thinking, sketchbook development, and on-the-spot drawing.

  • Duration: 1 year
    (4 terms × 10 weeks per term)

  • Frequency: 2 sessions per week, 2 hours each.

  • Total Hours: 160 hours per year.
     

Target Outcomes:

  • 9–10 completed artworks.

  • Sketchbook portfolio.

  • On-the-spot drawing proficiency.

Visual Art Portfolio Preparation (NAFA / LASALLE / Poly / NUS)

Professional portfolio coaching for tertiary art applications.
 

Tailored for local and international students preparing for art and design school admissions at diploma or university level. Students receive personalised mentorship in concept development, portfolio creation, and presentation skills.
 

Course Overview:

  • Duration: 3 months (40 total hours)

  • Schedule: Flexible
    (2–3 sessions/week, 2–3 hours/session)

     

Target Outcomes:

  • Completed portfolio for NAFA, LASALLE, Poly or NUS.

  • Professional sketchbook documenting artistic process.

  • Digital portfolio (PDF or web format).

Optional Add-On: Special Interview Preparation Module

🎯 Perfect for students preparing for SOTA, SSP, and other DSA Art pathways.

 

Confidence & communication for admissions success.

 

This optional module helps students present their portfolio confidently and professionally during DSA and other auditions interviews.

 

Details:

  • Duration: 3–4 sessions × 2 hours each.

  • Ideal Timing: Final month of the Art course or during school holidays.

 

Focus Areas:

  • Portfolio presentation and sequencing.

  • Explaining artistic concepts and creative process.

  • Mock interview sessions with personalised feedback.

  • Body language, articulation, and confidence-building.
